It's About To Get Crowded

I was watching Momma Bird feed her babies the other day. Just look at that juicy worm!

While the one baby bird was being fed the other one seemed to be hollering that it was his turn to eat.

When all of a sudden Momma Bird turned to her left!

What?!?!?! There's a third baby in the nest?

It's sure to get crowded in the nest before long.

  13. Kathy, I've already started worrying about the time when the little guys will be learning to fly. Their nest is directly over our cement patio. I hope their parents are good flight instructors!

Parsley, The birds are barn swallows.

  16. When that third one showed up, the mama said I need a break. A very cute bird post. They seem to find ways to take care of their little ones.

  17. Barn swallows are among my favorite birds; they are very graceful and eat mosquitoes, among their many charms. Thanks for these photos.

  18. Adorable! And you have a front row seat! I have a nest of hose finches on my front porch, just eggs right now. I'm hoping they stick it out what with all the comings and goings at our front door!
