Well, that pesky Wile E Coyote was back yesterday morning. This time Mikey wasn't the only sentry on duty. He had help from
Smoke. They stood like that for a long time. Enough time for me to grab my camera and take some pictures. And they stood there for quite some time after that.
Somewhere out there Wile E lurks. I could hear him. Mikey and Smoke could hear and smell him.
Try as I might though, I never did get a glimpse of him.
But he's out there taunting the loyal sentrys
in our backyard.
Good to know they have things under control ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou have a couple of great guard dogs there! Mine is asleep at my feet right now...
ReplyDeleteI sure hope that you don't have any trouble with that coyote. We hear them in the distance and our little Maxwell he stands on the deck in that position to.
ReplyDeleteThat is sure some beautiful country around you.
OH--LOOK at Mikey's fur--all ruffed up and ready to defend his home, his people, his territory! I hope the coyote will realize that there's two to tangle with and decide to stay away. Glad Smoke was there to help keep up the guard dog duties.
ReplyDeleteYou're place is GREEN. LOL Here in the desert, it's almost obscene to have all that green around you because it means you've been watering illegally! Isn't that amazing that there's two different cultures living next door to each other? I love it!
I love your doggies and I love seeing your beautiful GREEN land.
ReplyDeleteI sure would hate to see Mr. WC get into a match with your pooches. My Miss Mollie, the tiny QUEEN YORKIE who lives in our home would bark once, maybe let out a tiny YIP and then run away to her Momma. That would be ME!

Smoke looks so fierce!!!! You get em Smoke!!!
ReplyDeleteIs that an ACME fence? lol
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to the store for today G?
We hear them sometimes on the Blue Ridge Parkway....but...thank goodness haven't seen any close to the cabin.....Good look'n guard dawgs you got there...!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy
Oh my goodness when we lived in Oklahoma I was afraid to go out in the yard at night because you could hear the yelps and moans and see all the twinkling eyes lit up from those dang coyotes. Truly freaky.
ReplyDeleteGood to have those guard dogs!
ReplyDeleteCoyotes for real? Like, real, living, breathing coyotes? My goodness, I'm going to have to travel off the highways the next time I go west of my east coast domain! I also noticed how far you can see past your fence into the countryside. I can see my neighbors white fence and a row of trees before the roadway; and I've already moved to the country!! lol
ReplyDeleteLoyal security guards that work for love, shelter and food. Of course giving tons love, companionship and a secure feeling in return.
ReplyDeleteI have a GS dog, so I know how blessed ya'll are to have such hard workers.
Good job, doggies! We had baby coyote on our deck a few weeks ago. Clearly starving. It was sad, and scary.
ReplyDeleteOccasionally we hear coyotes, but not often.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to see one here on the farm.
Great photos!!
