This week I took a lot of picture of birds - even more than of the coyotes.Out of all of them, this is my #1 favorite.
Coming in at #2 was this picture of 4 finches.
Number 3 was this barn swallow.
Number 4 is his mate.
And #5, the two of them together.
Those are wonderful. I love gold finches. They are so pretty!

I have a better camera this year and was looking forward to getting some good pictures of the finches that normally come to the feeder under our weeping cherry...but we haven't seem more than two or three all season so far. Very disappointing! We do have a robins nest in the cherry tree as well as several other spots in the yard, so I think they may be chasing off our little finches! Anyway, I enjoyed your post!

ReplyDeleteAh yes, the barn swallows. We have quite a few pairs this year. I love to watch them and their aerial acrobatics! :-) (What coyotes... you have coyote photos??! I've never gotten any photos of any of our local packs, but I hear them all.the.time.)
