Build Them and They Will Come

AD talked about building some deer feeders when we first moved to the country. He would mention it every so often but he never put his thoughts into actions.

Christmas came and he was thrilled with his wildlife camera. That kind of built a fire beneath him and he made a trip to Lowe's.

He came home with a few pieces of PVC pipe and a few connectors. When he got home he went straight to his shop and before long he had finished this feeder and

this one too.

It took the deer a few days to locate the feeders but they've found them now.

When the temperature warms up in a few days AD is going to move his camera closer to the feeders. I'm anxious to see the pictures we'll get!

  1. You are going to have some beautiful pictures to share!

  2. Now that's an idea D would go for! I have to show him these pictures. Of course we don't live out in the country--yet--but if the time comes, he'll want to build it.

    Stay safe, warm, and toasty!

  3. What a great idea!!
We haven't seen our deer in almost 7 days... :(
Hope you get some wonderful pictures...

    Enjoy...stay warm....LindaMay

  4. What a fun idea !!
Wow I have never seen one before its pretty neat!

  5. That is a fantastic project. What a simple feeder, too. Very cool.

  6. I love it! I always always worry about the deer that live in the woods behind our house. What a terrific idea!

By the way, did you know that I have a blog for people who like to write at ?

I'd love to have you come write with us there too!

  7. how cool is that???? yay!!!! of course, may i suggest a COPPER pipe? lol.

  8. Great job, AD!! I am curious to see the photos too!

  9. Oh I can't wait to see the pictures. I love deer so much!! Nice job on that feeder. It looks like something my hubby would create. Awesome!

  10. Very cool; the deer will be PVCrazy over it! My neighbor has a spotlight in his side year and he puts deer feed out at night. It's wonderful to watch them enjoying their food with their babies.

  11. me too.. as for waiting that is. Sounds like you've brought life back into your hubs there. Nicely done. How's the cocoa stash holding out?

  12. How cool is that! We need to get our geese and your deer together for a photo. :-)
