They'd all been out just minutes before so I thought Mikey might be roaming around the back. That sometimes gets the inside kids going.
I looked out but didn't see Mikey. There were a couple of red-winged black birds by the feeder. But the birds haven't really caught their eyes in awhile.
So I opened the door and the kids piled out. Then I heard "Honk! Honk! Honk!" above all the barking.
Oh My Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine that? They must have tired from the flock and decided to take a break. I too am so surprised they didn't fly away. I guess they knew it was a safe haven for rest. What a wonderful treasure you received, and I thank you so much for sharing with me today.
I hope you have a beautiful day. I love to see pictures of Oklahoma. I really miss my folks in Enid. I get to come home once a year in the Fall, so it is so nice to see your lovely photos. I thank you for sharing.
Country hugs sweetie..>Sherry
Honestly, if you were a goose and you saw those three, would you be worried? :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute. You had a real animal symphony going!
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of geese honking!
ReplyDeleteI also love the new picture on top.
That was a nice surprise that means they are going north towards >ME< and that means spring !! Yipee!!!
ReplyDeleteDiane
How cute!
ReplyDeleteWe have tons of Canadian geese down by the lake, those suckers aren't scared of anything! Mabel barks her face off and they just hiss.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, maybe the honkers heard the doggies and just wanted them to come out and play. I love animal watching.
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a marvelous day, sweetie!!!
The sound of geese honking always makes me think of school buses.
ReplyDeleteYou know how after the bus drivers have finished their run, they decompress the brakes or something like that.
It's the same sound that geese make.
Well, that's what it sounds like to me.
Sweet dreams.
The geese are just stunning here, but can be a bit nasty as they fight or attack things that come to their 'area'.
ReplyDeleteKeep an eyeball on your babies..
with love,
Olivia
ps.. just love their spring jackets!
The Canadian Geese are so aggressive here. I am surprised they didn't go after your lively little dogs. On the other hand, isn't it adorable how the smaller the dog are the more fight they have in them.
ReplyDeleteDeborah
The geese here are very brave and not much of anything scares them...they just get mad if you bother them.
ReplyDeleteYou anywhere near that early in the season tornado that hit out in NW Oklahoma?
ReplyDeleteRick, Nope - we're on the other side of the state. But I'm sure we're in for some wicked weather at least once or twice this season.
ReplyDeleteWow! Great shots of the geese! Lucky you to have such a variety of wildlife visiting your "backyard!"
ReplyDeleteI know some people hate em but I LOVE the Canadian Geese. Cute post!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they know what that fence is for and were just taunting the three barking dogs. Funny! I know the wild animals around here ignore our barkers, too. Kinda like, you can't get me, nanna, nanna, boo, boo.
