Here's what took up much of my time.
I hemmed curtains for our garage windows. The curtains have been hanging there for over a year and I finally got around to hemming them to the right length.
With all the wind we've been having lately I decided to run a spring-loaded curtain rod through the bottom to keep the curtains from flying all over the place when the garage doors are open.
Of course there was the eternal laundry to do.
G1's prom was last Saturday. I was invited to go with them when they picked up his tux. He cleans up pretty well in our opinion and looked especially nice after the haircut he got later that afternoon. (Prom pictures to follow later this week.)
But this is what took up most of my time. Last Saturday was National Scrapbooking Day. A friend and I went to a Friday/Saturday crop so I spent last week getting pictures together with papers and embellishments to match.
AD says I have a mini-scrapbook store of my own and I go shopping there quite a lot. BIG SMILE.
All I can say is - it's a good thing I'm not a quilter! Fabric takes up a lot more space than sheets of paper. If all of my papers were lengths of fabric I'd probably have to take over AD's shop to store it all in.
I did take some time to notice some new heads of cattle on the land next to ours.
And a new bird that came to the feeders. Isn't he beautiful?
And Mikey sleeping in the warm sun.
This week is a busy one too. I'm making a small one-layer "test" cake for my nephew and his fiancee. They've asked me to make their wedding cake in June and I want to show them some decorating options.
Then there's more laundry to get caught up on (some is in the washer as I type this post) and get my scrapbooking supplies back where they belong.
I need to get some more tomato plants to put in the ground. I'm really looking forward to fresh tomatoes in a few weeks!
Well, I best get to it. See you all soon!

You have been busy! I love how your craft room looks so neat. I am sorely disorganized. We haven't been able to get a garden in yet. It started raining last week and just hasn't dried out yet. Blondie would really like to garden and I would like to encourage that!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Back!!! I've missed you!
ReplyDeleteyou sure are busy, but it all sounds fun! family and crafts, two of the funnest things in life!!
ReplyDeleteisn't it amazing how busy we empty nesters are?
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I don't have to have a paycheck - I don't have time to go to work, and it sounds like neither do you.
love you GSs blond hair! he looks like a California surfer boy.
You are a busy lady! I guess that's your secret to staying beautiful and healthy huh? I enjoyed the post. I have a curtain on the back door that was flapping so I put a small velcro dot on each corner, works like a charm. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteBusy busy just like me. Wouldn't have it any other way! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely, sweet post!

Have you tried digital scrap-booking? That's what I'm into right now. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteOk, writer. Photographer. Scrapbooker (not sure that's a word). Seamtress.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you're going to bake a wedding cake!
Is there anything that you can't do?
Please don't tell me you sing too.
I just couldn't handle it :)
Sweet dreams.

ReplyDeleteI must say that you are one busy woman.
ReplyDeleteVery handsome gs, how did his prom go?
My gd in Tulsa had prom last weekend also.
I am waiting for pictures.
Love you outdoor photos. We have not been able to get our garden in yet. I am so ready to plant some tomato plants also.
