My favorite new 2010 television show is Hawaii Five-0 for a few reasons.
#1. I was a fan of the original series.
#2. The new series stands on its own. It's not just another remake.
#3. I've been an Alex O'Loughlin fan since he starred in Moonlight and Scott Caan makes a pretty good Danno too.
So when 2011 calendars started making their way onto store and kiosk shelves I started looking for a Hawaii Five-0 calendar. I could not believe I couldn't find one - anywhere. I checked online too. Nope!
How could that be possible?
Well, there's more than one way to skin a cat and I put my own calendar together. It didn't turn out half bad either.
Maybe next year someone in the marketing world will get a clue and there will be some Hawaii Five-0 calendars on store shelves.
If not, well, I'll just make my own again.
Oh Granny, my husband loves that show but it's on at 10:00 and past my bedtime :) good job on making one...I haven't even gotten a new calendar yet...ummm!
ReplyDelete:) I haven't watched it yet. I never get in on a series from the beginning and then never want to pick up in the middle of it.
ReplyDeleteVery smart of you just to make your own calendar - it looks very professional!
~~skin a cat?????~~~ we cannot look!!!
ReplyDeleteI could not function right without a calendar. I did that when I worked and have continued it still. Mine is not as neat as yours tho.
ReplyDeleteGreat calendar. You should sell them. I haven't watched the new series but loved the old one. James MacArthur was a teen heartthrob way back then :)
ReplyDeletevery clever of you! I loved the original show and the theme song but have not watched the new show.
ReplyDeleteOur new calendar was a Christmas gift and is pictures of our granddaughter dressed up for different months.
happy new year to you!
I hope this new show makes it across the pond, I remember the original series....just!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy new year.
Meowmomma, Sorry about the cat reference. Think big cat, like mountain lion.
ReplyDeleteLanyardlady, James MacArthur was the main reason I watched the original. It was sad when he passed away last year.
Ryan, I understand that the series has been sold internationally so maybe you'll see it in 2011.
Hey, I have a picture taken with Al Harrington from the old Hawaii Five - O. lol He was "Ben" in the show. I wondered if this would be a good show. Happy New Year to you.
ReplyDeletegreat calendar! I watched the original series when I was a kid and loved everything about it! I still remember the thrill I felt when the theme song came on!
ReplyDeleteHow did you ever arrange to get Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan to your Oklahoma home for a photo shoot?!

Love a woman that takes matters into her own hands!
Happy New Year!
Your Friend,
Deborah
I'll say, it is not half bad! Love it. Gerry
ReplyDeleteMy cousin and his wife make calendars every year for holiday gifts for their circle of family and friends. They use photographs that they've taken in their travels. The calendars are always beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteNow yours is vogue as well! And perfect since it reflects your favorite TV show! Well done! And I also agree--you should make a few and see if they sell!
Sorry I'm a Castle and The Mentalist fan. Couldn't get into Hawaii Five-O even the first time around.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! Way to go, lady!! You are SO creative.
ReplyDeleteYou are one of the most creative people I have never met. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I know down at the bookstore where I work you had to buy your calendars way back before Christmas to get anything decent. I agree you did a great job making your own. =) Mine is always a cat calendar.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the calendar! Love that you just made the one you wanted. We're using a cocker spaniel calendar featuring our Lucy as "Miss July"
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to style your own calendar!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Necessity is the mother of invention, after all. ;) And you probably saved a lot of money, too. You should link this creation to my party: http://thebrambleberrycottage.blogspot.com/2010/12/time-travel-thursday-25-sweet-dreams.html
