Nice pic. He looks pretty healthy.
A coyote! How cool! You don't have chickens do you? I once had a dog that was half coyote...and she always went chicken hunting. The farmers around us were not happy with us as neighbors.
Believe it or not we have coyotes behind our house from time to time in south Tulsa. The first time we heard them howling we were very surprised. We do have a small greenbelt behind our house, but it is surrounded with houses & a busy street.Smiles,Carol
We have been having trouble with them this year.We are real careful about letting our baby out to do his thing. It was a great shot I must say.

He's a big one. We usually see scrawny ones around here.
woa, is that a coyote? My husband and I just saw one the other day crossing the interstate with a dead rabbit in its mouth! I didn't realize they were common in this area, but when we lived in Florida we saw them several times in a populated area busy street!
Oh that is a really good picture!! Those guys are everywhere!
Wow, that's a big boy or girl! Sadly many cats in my future SIL's neighborhood have vanished thanks to a coyote. They are in the city now, and it's scary.
lots and lots of them smushed on the interstate in Arizona... and that's about all......!
Great photo. I saw one the other day and was wondering if you found one from a pup and raised it, would it be like a dog? I know, I am always thinking. lol
Yep, even with the donkey's protection we've had trouble keepin' 'em outta the cattle and away from the baby calves. It seems worse this year!He made for a great shot and a fantastic picture sweetie.God bless ya and have a marvelous day!!!
I know they are a problem, but I think they are a beautiful animal! Good catch!
For the first time in two years i heard a pack of coyote over by the Blue Ridge Parkway last night....i think Misskitty will be staying close to hte house for a while.....!!Enjoy
OMG, so cool!!
He's a big one! How close to your house was this taken?
Is is a coyote? If so, SCARY!
I know farm people hate coyotes but I like them very much -- we don't have any reason not to! We hear them "talking to each other" fairly often -- frequently they sound off when a train comes by. Great photo. I almost thought it was a fox at first!
Pat, The camera is about 330 yards from the house.Leilani, We have railroad tracks about a mile and a quarter from our house and whenever a train passes you can sure hear them.Sharon, We have a fenced in area for our kids to go out and do their business. I still keep an eye on them though.
It's sure a good thing that you've got Elliott, Smoke and Dani to keep the coyotes far away from Mikey and the rest of your bunch!
ol' wiley coyote is out and about, huh? a friend trapped one (to release later) but the smell was horrible!!! man, they stink like B.O. and dead animal. yuk!
Seems he's a wee bit camera shy, the problem we have over this side of the pond is foxes.
Superb clip. We could use one to lesson the sunk population that seems to be spreading .
What an awesome pic - I have to agree, he's a very healthy, plump looking specimen. I've never managed to get a good pic of these guys yet. Someday.... gawd knows there's plenty of them in these parts!
Is that a coyote?Looks like he's got a heavy winter coat, too.
