Every July 4 NRP has people read the Declaration of Independence out loud. It is so moving to hear this foundation document of our country. And on another matter: I could kick myself. Why did I not contact you in June to arrange for lunch or coffee before we sailed through Oklahoma. You are one of my favorite blogging people. On the other hand, neither of us is still thinking too clearly -- Richard left his good pants behind so he had to go shopping and buy more. Oh well. Another time
Love your fireworks pics! Ours were postponed with the tremendous storm that blew through yesterday evening. Lucy would LOVE your little "baby doggie" too :)
Cute pictures! I tried to reply to your comment on my blog regarding the trial today but your email says noreply from blogger. Anyway, I REALLY didn't think she'd get 1st degree murder and the death penalty but I thought for sure she'd get manslaughter. It makes no sense what has happened. It's just awful!
Thank you to all for the nice comments on my fireworks photos. I've read many articles on how to set up my camera to take pictures of fireworks but try as I might, those settings never seem to work. So I just go with the flow and take LOTS of photos. That way I come up with a handful of photos that I'm happy with.
Ann, The photos were actually taken at one of the local (stock car) race tracks on Saturday night. On Monday my husband and I spent a quiet evening at home. We could see a few fireworks in the far distance but they were too far away to try to get any photos.
And Happy Independence Day to you and those you love!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! Cute pups, too!
May you and family have safe and nice holiday. Trust they do not use fireworks around here. We will all go up in smoke.
