So #7 of my truths about me is that today is my 60th birthday. Yep, that's right. 60! So how come I only feel like I'm maybe 50 at the most?
Son baked my birthday cake last weekend along with Girlie, then he iced it and helped Girlie with the tie-dye frosting effect. G3 and G4 helped put Skittles around the bottom border. The inside of the cake was tie-dyed too. What a fun cake! Thanks to all of them for making it a fun celebration.
And the 7 bloggers I'm passing the award onto are (in no particular order):
1. Miss Paula at Gathering of Friends
2. Nancy at Jessie and Sophia's Grandma
3. Angela at Pickles on Pizza
4. Christine at Faded Roses
5. Christine's sister Ninny at Ninny's Notes
6. Joycee at Granny Mountain
7. Darlene at Consider the Lillies
Award Recipients, I attempted to make sure that each of you do not have an Award and Tag-free Blog. If I overlooked that notation, please forgive me.
I hope you have a birthday that is filled with those you love most and doing what you enjoy! Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteYour Friend,
Deborah
PS I thought #7 was finally going to be a (first) name!
Congrats on your birthday; looks like a great celebration. I hit 60 last January, and I have to tell you it made me stop and think a bit...at the time I was on a knee scooter from my fall down the stairs, and boy did I feel old! That lasted a couple of days and left as suddenly as it came. Now, eh, who cares what the calendar says! I'm having fun, as I'm sure you are, and I wouldn't change much if I could! Enjoy your new miles stone!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Congratulations, you are now a member of the 60's club. I became a member not to long ago myself. In fact, I'll be 62 in November. Sixties rock!
ReplyDeleteBlessed birthday to your, dear. I loved reading the 7 facts about you. I will have to see if I can think of 7 for me....
ReplyDeleteYour cake was beautiful.
Happy birthday! Great time of the year to have a birthday. I am within a few weeks of being exactly 1 year older than you! Interesting that you passed an award to Miss Paula. She is a long time friend of our family -- her dad was the preacher at the church we went to for years and years and years and he was my father's fishing buddy for years and years and years.

Happy Birthday to you.
And you do not look a day over 50, aren't we all at 50 and holding? Many hugs and so much love for a beautiful birthday day. How ironic that my write up was about the peace, flower power, love child and 70's. Now I know why you loved it so much.
I love this cake, and what an awesome job the kids all did with making it for you. I love the tie dye affect. So Groovy.
Happy Birthday again sweetie. Here is wishing to many, many more to come. Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry
