Pictures in the Clouds

click on each photo to enlarge it

I can't remember a time that I didn't like to look at the clouds and find images within the fluffy billows.

I was doing just that last weekend, passing time, waiting for some races to get underway.

Do you see any images in the clouds above?

Look close. I'd be interested to know what you see in those clouds.

Now I'll tell you what I saw.

Mark Twain with a puppy on his shoulder.

Here's a close-up of the puppy image I see.

Still don't see them?

I've added the words eye, nose and moustache here for Mr. Twain. Do you see him now?

And here I've marked the puppy with the words eye, nose, mouth and paw.

Whether you see the images I see in the clouds or something different, I think it's a fun way to pass the time.

  2. Saw the puppy right away....took me a few seconds to find Mark....
We watch the thunderheads rise up over the mountain ridges every night.....one minutes there's nothing and then....WHAM....there they are...beautiful...!!

    Enjoy

  5. When I first looked at it I saw a puppy but no Mark. That is so beautiful. We had clouds that were puffy but not pretty at all.
    Have a nice day.

"I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
    It's cloud illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all"

Love you girly. It's HOT here today!

  7. We did this all the time when growing up. Did not have much else to do. I still tend to check the clouds when we have them.

  8. I definitely saw a face but didn't think of Mark Twain. My mother could paint the prettiest clouds in her paintings and I always think of her when I look at the clouds.

  9. Mark Twain and his puppy are sitting in a row of people. We could see the silohette of one other laughing behind Mark. Cool Oklahoma cloud.

  13. Mountain Mama, That's what's fun about looking at the clouds. Everyone sees things differently. And even within a few seconds a puppy can morph into something entirely different.

  14. I love doing this! But I'm not seeing anything in this cloud. Hmmm... It looks like everyone else saw it. Now what's wrong with me?!

  16. I haven't tried this since I was a kid, I'm now studying the clouds that are passing overhead and I'm sure I saw an alligator up there lol. This is so much fun.
